We closely adhere to their Skin Care Guidelines. NANN strongly encourages the use of a "hydrocolloid base layer next to the skin". They also discourage the use of "tape" on the skin and warn against using "adhesive bonding agents" as they increase the likelihood of epidermal stripping.
There are major Skin Differences between adults and neonates. Chemical bonding agents such as Mastisol, & Detachol can be absorbed through the skin of the neonate. These products are even "FLAMMABLE" as noted on their packaging.
With NeoBond Hydrocolloid, you use NO SKIN-PREP for application and only WATER or MINERAL OIL for removal.
