DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Annual SMA Conference will be held in Dallas\, TX at the Hilton Anatole Hotel from Thursday\, June 14th through Sunday\, June 17th\, 2018. \nEvery year\, Cure SMA sponsors a conference to bring together the leading SMA researchers\, clinicians\, and families living with SMA. Cure SMA has been hosting the Annual SMA Conference since 1988. We look forward to reuniting as a community at this year’s conference in order to lend each other support and strength and to learn about the latest advances in research and care. \nAs always\, the Family and the Researcher Conferences run alongside each other. Through the conferences\, we bring together researchers\, healthcare professionals\, and families to network\, learn\, and collaborate. The Annual SMA Conference is the largest conference in the world for those affected by SMA\, and also for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients. \nThe weekend is filled with a wide variety of workshops\, keynote sessions with leading researchers\, a family-friendly research poster session\, and more—plus fun events like our meet & greet/family fun fest\, a pajama party & movie night\, and a dance party\, as well as teen and adult social activities. There are also many opportunities to connect and interact with other SMA families and to receive first hand updates from the researchers.
