When continents separate suppliers and manufactures, the finer details can get lost in communication, further blurring the lines of quality. Working closely with vendors in the U.S. promotes efficient productivity along with facilitating efficient decision making. Working with U.S.-based vendors allows Neotech to be hands on from beginning to end, greatly aiding in the process of fine-tuning details and ensuring quality.
Domestic Vendors
Just a couple hours away, one long-time vendor has been crafting our Little Sucker® suction devices for over 15 years. This Redlands California-based vendor uses a 20-step quality control process to ensure that each Little Sucker packaged is made correctly. They use fresh material for each batch of Suckers; never using repurposed plastics.
Further south in California, another long-time vendor builds the revolutionary NeoLead®. These long-lasting ECG Electrodes feature our patented design of the NeoBond® Hydrocolloid border around its hydrogel center.
Working with a vendor across the country a few years ago, we discovered the an amazing new material that became NeoFoam®. This soft, gentle material is so unique, you have to feel it to believe it. And it was developed here in the U.S. by a vendor who makes several products for us. Including the EZCare™ Softouch Tracheostomy Tube Holder, the Neotech ChinStrap, and the NeoPulse Pulse Oximeter Wrap.
Over the past 30 years, Neotech has built trusting relationships with these and many more vendors all over the United States. And all of them share the same high standards for quality that we do. Having vendors in the U.S. makes it much easier to visit, audit, and communicate in person. Working face-to-face with them ultimately results in the best possible product. Many of our vendors are local to us in Southern California which further enhances our line of communication.
Employing People
One of the original missions of Neotech was to provide jobs. Co-founder, Dr. Arnold Heyman (Doc), has always taken great pride in providing employment in the community to support local families. Our vendors in turn also add jobs to their communities. One vendor, in particular, hired on eight employees to keep up with the rise in demand. Neotech, itself, has grown from two employees to over 50. It still brings Doc great joy to know he’s providing jobs and opportunity.
